Flemington’s Bash
Flemington’s Cheers to 250 Years will be hosted at the Grove Community Park on Saturday, June 6, beginning at 12 p.m. Residents are invited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the patriotic hometown celebration featuring hotdogs, apple pie and baseball along with old fashioned Bingo. Food and drinks will be available at the small pavilion for a donation. An emergency vehicle display will also be featured at Hillview Wesleyan Church, including displays from the Flemington Goodwill Ambulance Association and Flemington Goodwill Hose Company, along with a Teddy Bear Clinic for children. Residents are encouraged to show their patriotic spirit by displaying American flags at their homes and wearing red, white and blue to the event. Bring the whole family out for an afternoon of community pride, food, fun and baseball as Flemington celebrates America 250!
Patriotic Wreath/Basket Class
Penn State Master Gardeners are ready to help us celebrate America’s 250 in beautiful flowery fashion! We will be making a grapevine wreath/basket (it can be used for either!) containing red, white and blue flowers and adorned with patriotic ribbon – a beautiful way to show your patriotism this summer! $40 will include all materials. Seats are limited so contact Dawn Jeffries at 570-367-1351 or djeffries@svrcs.org ASAP to reserve your seat! Class is held at SVRCS, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, on Thursday, June 25, from 6-7 p.m.
Legion Riders Golf Outing
The 9th Annual Jersey Shore Legion Riders Golf Outing will be held on Friday, June 19, at the Clinton County Club in Mill Hall. Registration is at 8 a.m. and Tee off is a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Cost is $100 per person that includes 18-holes of golf, riding cart, dinner and a chance to win various prizes. Sign up early! Various contests will also be held including a putting challenge, the longest drive, closest to the pin, Double your Money and Move Up! Golfing attire is required, collared shirts but no jeans! No steel spikes!

Medical Equipment
Howard Area Lions Club offers medical equipment to people who need it, free of charge. Perhaps you’re in need of a cane, crutches, a walker, shower chair, a bedside potty or even a hospital bed, give the Lions a call. Friday Bingos cancelled
KBR Bingo and More will not be holding their Friday night Bingo during the summer months.
The Friday night Bingos will resume in September, with the first date being announced well beforehand.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to join players on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. for special benefit Bingos to help individuals and groups in our community.
