St. Paul Food Pantry

St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.

Pleasant Gap

Lioness Yard Sale

The Lioness Yard Sale will be held at the pavilion behind the Pleasant Gap Legion, 435 S. Main St., Pleasant Gap, on Thursday and Friday, June 25-26, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be something for everyone! Most items aren’t priced; make a fair value donation. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

As you walk around town, take notice of the historical window displays in store fronts. This includes the Ross Library entrance, too! From “Give Back” to “Reese’s Print Shop,” groups are contributing to NSDAR’s local chapter’s celebration of America 250.

Patriotic Wreath/Basket Class

Penn State Master Gardeners are ready to help us celebrate America’s 250 in beautiful flowery fashion! We will be making a grapevine wreath/basket (it can be used for either!) containing red, white and blue flowers and adorned with patriotic ribbon – a beautiful way to show your patriotism this summer! $40 will include all materials. Seats are limited so contact Dawn Jeffries at 570-367-1351 or djeffries@svrcs.org ASAP to reserve your seat! Class is held at SVRCS, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, on Thursday, June 25, from 6-7 p.m.

Bingo Fundraiser

A Cash Bingo Fundraiser for Stephanie Mills is scheduled for July 18 at KBR Bingo and More, 1 Piper Way, Lock Haven. Tickets cost $20 with doors opening at 11 a.m. and Bingo starting at 1 p.m. The event will feature a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction, raffles and food.
