Monday

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station at 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

— Howard Area Lions Food Distribution, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Farmer’s market vouchers will be handed out to Centre County residents at this distribution. Uncertain when Clinton County Farmer’s Market vouchers may be received. Bring a sturdy box (or boxes) with you for future use and any empty egg cartons that you may have.

Tuesday

— Milesburg Food Bank is open from 1-3 p.m. This food distribution is held the first Tuesday of each month at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church.

— Howard Area Lions Club’s dinner meeting will be held at the Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Snow Shoe Lions have been invited to attend.

— The Central PA Civil War Round Table will meet in the Activities Room of the South Hills School of Business & Technology, 480 Waupelani Drive, State College, beginning at 7 p.m.

The featured speaker will be Mr. Dan Masters on “Pennsylvania at the Battle of Stones River.” Mr. Masters lives in Perrysburg, Ohio, and is a graduate of the University of Toledo. He is a descendant of five Union veterans of the Civil War and has written 15 books. His most recent book, Hell by the Acre: A Narrative History of the Stones River Campaign, won both the Richard B. Harwell Award from the Atlanta Civil War Round Table and the Hugh G. Earnhart Award from the Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table.

— The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The group will be celebrating the “Sixties” with a variety of 1960’s themed activities including a “Walk Down Memory Lane” with a display of artifacts from that era, music and dances from the decade, a tie dyed craft, 60s trivia and reminiscing and even 60’s BINGO. Refreshments will include food that was popular during that time. Wednesday

— PA CareerLink Clinton County will host its annual Spring Career Fair from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Commonwealth University-Lock Haven Rec Center, located at 550 Railroad St., Lock Haven. The event is free and open to the public.The Spring Career Fair is designed to bring together local and regional employers with job seekers. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring representatives, learn about current job openings, submit resumes and discuss career pathways and advancement opportunities. Employers participating in the event will represent a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, human services, customer service, transportation, construction, skilled trades, financial/Insurance, Real Estate and administrative and professional roles. Positions may range from entry-level opportunities to experienced and specialized roles, providing options for individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

— Blanchard Church of Christ will have their Food Pantry open from 3-5 p.m. Normally the food distribution would be held on June 10, but because the church is having Vacation Bible School next week, the distribution date has been moved. For more info call the church office at 570-962-2423.

Thursday

— Senior Cheer Club will meet at noon at the Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Anyone age 55 and over is invited to bring a covered dish and join the fun. Bring your own drink and a wrapped gift for the Bingo game. Call Larry at 570-726-6635.

— Food distribution from 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. There aren’t any income guidelines, but a few questions are asked for those attending for the first time. Call Loni at 814-548-7835 for more info.

— Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.

— Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week. Vendors are being sought for the weekly markets. Set up begins at 6 a.m. For a vendor spot, call Mark at 814-355-2753.

There’s also a few bonus flea markets happening on specific Sundays during the summer months. Those Sundays will be June 14, July 12 and Aug. 9.

Friday

— Blood Drive, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Lock Haven YMCA

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary at East End Mountain Road in Mill Hall, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday.

— Titan Market, indoors at the former Cerro building, Axeman Road, Bellefonte, will be open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday

— Titan Market, indoors at the former Cerro building, Axeman Road, Bellefonte, will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Holy Spirit Parish Fair, 5-9 p.m., at the St. Agnes Church grounds, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. This outstanding event features great food, baked goods, theme baskets, fun games and much more! A new band will perform for your listening pleasure. This is the last evening for the fair.

— Flemington’s Cheers to 250 Years will be hosted at the Grove Community Park on Saturday, June 6, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Residents are invited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the patriotic hometown celebration featuring hotdogs, apple pie and baseball along with old fashioned bingo. Food and drinks will be available at the small pavilion for a donation. An emergency vehicle display will also be featured at Hillview Wesleyan Church, including displays from the Flemington Goodwill Ambulance Association and Flemington Goodwill Hose Company, along with a Teddy Bear Clinic for children. Residents are encouraged to show their patriotic spirit by displaying American flags at their homes and wearing red, white and blue to the event.

Sunday

— Vacation Bible School Opening Kick-off picnic at Marsh Creek BIC Church, 417 Summit Hill Road, Howard. The picnic starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by the VBS program from 6:30-8. Hotdogs and ice cream sundaes will be provided for the picnic. VBS will include songs, crafts, snacks, Bible lessons and an offering contest between the boys and the girls.
