Monday, June 15

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station at 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

Tuesday, June 16

— Porter Township Community Library will be having their Summer Library program on Tuesdays in June, from 9-11 a.m., at the library. The June 30 session will be a picnic held at Recreation Park. Stories, activities, crafts, games, snacks and book selections will be provided with a guest reader each week. For info contact Jane at 570-660-8007.

— Blood Drive, 12-5:30 p.m., at Wingate Faith Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte. Church is behind the Sheetz store in Wingate and next to Wingate Elementary.

— Blood Drive, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Avery Dennison, Mill Hall.

— Covenant Cafe will meet from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Pam Blesh will bring her therapy dog, Foxy Lady, for a fashion show. — Bellefonte Area School Board meeting, 7 p.m., at the Bellefonte Area Middle School cafeteria.

— The Keystone Central School District Board of Directors will hold a special public meeting as some of its members look to try and ease potential tensions between the district and Act 93 employees. The special meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., both in person and available to watch via Zoom on the district’s website.

Wednesday, June 17

— Blood Drive, 1-5:30 p.m., at the Porter Township Community Building, Mill Hall.

— LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1959 will meet for lunch at noon at Ruby Tuesday in Mill Hall. All classmates and their guests are welcome to come! We’d like to see everyone there!

— LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1952 will meet for a luncheon at noon at Restless Oaks in McElhattan. Classmates and friends are invited to attend.

— The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection will enjoy “A Historical” luncheon and program at the Flemington Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Flemington on Wednesday, June 24, but reservations must be made by June 18. The theme of June’s program is “A Look at our Early Days” presented by Bonnie Hannis from The Heisey Museum. There is always good food, lots of fun and door prizes. June’s gifted vocalist will be Jonie Bergey and the guest speaker will be Candi Johnson. The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The cost of $17 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child. Thursday, June 18

— Millheim Yard Sale Days

— Millheim Fire Co. Carnival, parade begins at 7 p.m. rain or shine.

— Clinton County Veterans Affairs MilitaryShare distribution will be on Thursday, June 18, from 9-11 a.m., at the Castanea Fire Co. picnic grounds. All veterans and/or their spouses are invited to the distribution. For more info call the CCVA office at 570-893-4339. MilitaryShare distributions are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month.

— Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week. Vendors are being sought for the weekly markets. Set up begins at 6 a.m. For a vendor spot, call Mark at 814-355-2753.There’s also a few bonus flea markets happening on specific Sundays during the summer months. Those Sundays will be July 12 and Aug. 9. The flea markets will be held at the Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap, Pa.

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary at East End Mountain Road in Mill Hall, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday.

— Titan Market, indoors at the former Cerro building, Axeman Road, Bellefonte, will be open every Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— The 1958 Classes of LHHS and ICHS are having their monthly get together at Brown’s Hill Tavern at 1 p.m. For any questions, call 570-660-0134.

— Lemont’s Summer Concert on the Village Green will be held beginning at 7:30 p.m. This week the concert will feature Jeff Gibble, Zeb Crews and Zach Humphreys. — The 9th Annual Jersey Shore Legion Riders Golf Outing will be held at the Clinton County Club in Mill Hall. Registration is at 8 a.m. and Tee off is a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost is $100 per person that includes 18-holes of golf, riding cart, dinner and a chance to win various prizes. Sign up early! Various contests will also be held including a putting challenge, the longest drive, closest to the pin, Double your Money and Move Up! Golfing attire is required, collared shirts but no jeans! — Join the Hyner Run State Park naturalist at 3 p.m. to learn some of the characteristics of an insect on an “Insect Safari.” There will be a craft. This program is intended for children, but anyone is free to attend. Meet at the pool.

— Join the park naturalist at Little Pine State Park from 8-9 p.m. to learn some of the characteristics of an insect and also go on a walk to look for different insects and their cousins. There will be a craft. This program is intended for children, but anyone is welcome to attend. Meet at the amphitheater.

— Join the Bald Eagle State Park naturalist in maintaining our Native Plant Garden! From 10 a.m. until noon, volunteers will weed, dig, plant, mulch and generally assist with whatever tasks need attention to keep the garden healthy and looking beautiful. We will also learn about the importance of native species in Pa., and discuss some plants that are part of the garden collection. Please bring your own gloves. Feel free to bring hand trowels, weeders or whatever tools you feel comfortable using.

Saturday, June 20

— Millheim Yard Sale Days

— A pool tournament benefit is planned for June 20 at the Jersey Shore American Legion to help Gary Galbraith. Registration for the Scottish Doubles tournament begins at 11 a.m. with a noon start. The cost is $20 per team. In addition to the pool tournament there will be 50/50 drawings, picnic foods at $8 a plate and a basket raffle with the winners drawn at 5 p.m. Call

— Monument Festival, 1-9 p.m. Chicken dinners, live music, kid’s games and food. Craft vendors can set up, too. Call Brett at 570-367-1743 for vendor spot. The festival concludes with fireworks at dark.

— The Lock Haven Fire Department’s Second Annual Fire Float, 11 a.m. Participants will float from Hanna Park to the Lock Haven City Beach, bringing together community members for a fun and memorable day on the water. Community members are invited to enjoy a relaxing summer day along the Susquehanna River with local firefighters and fellow residents.

— LHHS Class of 1967’s annual reunion at 3 p.m. at Joyce Beatty’s house in Blanchard. All classmates are invited. Bring a covered dish to share and a lawn chair. Call Joyce at 570-962-3355 for info.

— Snow Shoe Lions Celebrating America’s 250th at Snow Shoe Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Craft and food vendors, flea market, great food, Lucky Lotto chances and more raffles and a Chinese auction. Call Kathleen at 814-357-1448 to donate prizes or to be a vendor.
