YARD SALES
— Fairview Church will have a Mega Yard Sale at the home of Pastor Dave and Sabrina Etters on June 12-13. Today the sale hours will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Payment is by donation to the church. The Etters’ live along Route 150 directly across the highway from the Twin Kiss Restaurant between Howard and Milesburg. Rain dates will be the next week, June 18-20.

— Blanchard and Beech Creek Yard Sales will be Friday and Saturday, June 12 and June 13.
The Friendship Community Center will be open on these days selling food and drinks as well as for those who’d like to get a table to set up their yard sale indoors. Call Pam at 570-295-9592 to reserve your table.
— Bargains and Blessings Community Closet will be open on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bossert Chiropractic in Beech Creek, weather permitting. Gently used, good quality clothing, shoes and accessories for the entire family are available. Sizes range from infants to 3X and are priced at $5 per bag full. Bags will be provided.

CURTIN VILLAGE EVENTS
Celebrate summer at Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village! An Opening Day Tour will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2 p.m. Step inside the Ironmaster’s Mansion, visit Eagle Furnace with its casting house, charging house and blast house and explore the workers village as we launch the 2026 season.
Family friendly guided tours occur on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from June through September. The tours begin at 2 p.m. and last 75-90 minutes. You will tour the Curtin Mansion and the iron works complex. Learn about iron making in 19th Century Pennsylvania, the architecture of the mansion, Curtin family history and life of the workers on this historic iron plantation from our knowledgeable volunteer guides who are often dressed in period attire.
Also happening this month at Curtin Village will be an Ownership Celebration Day on Sunday, June 28, at 1 p.m. Join friends and dignitaries in celebration of the Roland Curtin Foundation’s ownership of Curtin Village. This milestone marks a new chapter in preserving the site’s history. The 1 p.m. program will be followed by a reception. A guided tour of the property will begin at 2 p.m. Come for the celebration, stay for the tour or just come for the guided tour on this special day honoring the site and the people who will keep Curtin Village thriving.
There is no admission or tour fee for these June events. Donations are appreciated and directly support preservation and programming at Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village.

SUNDAY FLEA
The Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week.
Vendors are being sought for the weekly markets. Set up begins at 6 a.m.
There’s also a few bonus flea markets happening on specific Sundays during the summer months. Those Sundays will be June 14, July 12 and Aug. 9.

EAGLE ARBOR BENEFIT
Snow Shoe Lions in conjunction with Eagle Arbor is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Snow Shoe Park, located at E. Sycamore Road in Snow Shoe. This will be a fun-filled day for the whole family featuring craft and food vendors, snow cones, face painting, darts and corn hole, a silent auction and more!
Proceeds from the event will go to Levi Cramer and Trevor Bulles, both of whom have recently undergone brain surgery.
Levi and his wife live in Jersey Shore. He was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor that has been removed. He is now undergoing chemo and radiation treatments.
Trevor, his wife and their children live in Clarence. Fortunately his brain tumor was not cancerous, but he has lost the hearing in his one ear as a result. He is currently looking for work.
Basket raffle donations are needed to help raise more funds for these two men. LIGHTHOUSE CAMP CONCERTS
Lamar Lighthouse Camp has announced its Summer Concert Series. Each of the concerts will be held on Sunday evening beginning at 6 p.m. The concerts are free, with a love offering taken each week.
The Itzels will be performing on June 14 followed by The Needhams on June 21. Rounding out the month on June 28 will be Williamson Branch.
The concerts continue each Sunday evening through Sept. 27.

SNOW SHOE LIONS
Snow Shoe Lions Club is having a Celebration for America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Snow Shoe Park, 301 E. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe.
So far there’s about 30 craft and food vendors signed up to attend. There will be a craft show, flea market, raffles and a Chinese auction. There will be lots of food including a Chicken BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, funnel cakes and more! Come out and support the Snow Shoe Lions Club with their celebration and with their fundraising efforts! Snow Shoe Lions have their “Lucky Lotto” raffle tickets on sale now for $5 each for a chance to win $1,000 in Lottery scratch off tickets. The winning number will be the one drawn in the Pick 3 Lottery game on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from club members or at the funnel cake booth during the June 20 Celebration.
CLASS REUNION
Lock Haven High’s Class of 1967 will be gathering for their 59th class reunion on June 20, at 3 p.m., at Joyce Beaty’s house, 153 Beach St., Blanchard. RSVP’s must be received to know how many are planning to attend so enough food for the main dishes can be provided. Those attending should bring a covered dish or dessert to share.
Classmates and their guests should also bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating.

LIONS NEWS
— Milesburg Lions Club holds a weekly Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.
— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution will be on Monday, June 15. Distribution is handled from the former Beech Creek Elementary and runs from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Bring a sturdy box (or boxes) with you. The Lions also need empty egg cartons if you have them to bring along.
MONUMENT FESTIVAL
The Monument Festival will be held on Friday, June 19, from 6-9 p.m., and on Saturday, June 20, from 1-9 p.m.
On Friday night there will be food and Karaoke.
Events kick off on Saturday with a chicken dinner starting at 1 p.m., until sold out. There will be live music, kid’s games and food throughout the day.
Vendors are invited to come and if you’d like to be a vendor you should call Brett Glossner at 570-367-1743.
The festival concludes on Saturday evening with a fireworks show starting at dark.

— Centre Ballroom Dancing will be held at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte on Sunday, June 14, from 2-5 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and those attending should bring a snack to share. — Pets Come First in Centre Hall is holding a Bingo fundraising event on Sunday, June 14. The Bingo will be held at Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg. Doors open at noon and Early Bird Bingo starts at 1 p.m. The grand finale jackpot is $1,000!

— Millheim Fire Company’s annual carnival will be held June 18-20. Thursday night kicks off with a firemen’s parade, rain or shine, starting at 7 p.m. Parade line-up starts at 6 p.m. AJ the DJ will be providing the entertainment. There will be nightly prize drawings, food, games and fun for the whole family.
On Friday evening the entertainment will be Jonny Bull.
Saturday the Garden Tractor Pulls start at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Pedal pull competition is at 7 p.m. for children ages 3-9 years. Registration begins at 6 p.m.
DJ Ricky Lapean will provide the entertainment. The cake auction closes out the carnival at 10 p.m.
— Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will have the free Mobile Food Pantry at the church on Thursday, JUNE 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone may come and receive food. This distribution is being administered by the New Love Center in Jersey Shore.
The food distribution will be held at the church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek.
— Milesburg Museum is having a bronze sign made that lists the 15 Patriots from Milesburg as well as the 17 founding families of Milesburg to commemorate America250. An unveiling ceremony is being planned for June 28, at 4 p.m., at the Milesburg Post Office. There will be birthday cake, also!
Milesburg was settled in 1760, before the Revolutionary War, and the town proudly boasts that Milesburg had the most Patriots from Centre County!
More info will be coming closer to the Patriot unveiling and celebration date.
— Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is having their annual Roger A. White Fun Fair and Silent Auction on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church. There will be a moon bounce, games, food, baked goods, a jello eating contest at 1 p.m. and the Silent Auction winners chosen at 2 p.m. Special guests include a balloon artist and the Bald Eagle State Park environmentalists.
