YARD SALES
— Fairview Church will have a Mega Yard Sale at the home of Pastor Dave and Sabrina Etters on June 19-20. Today and tomorrow the sale hours will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Payment is by donation to the church. The Etters’ live along Route 150 directly across the highway from the Twin Kiss Restaurant between Howard and Milesburg.
Call 814-355-2815 for more info. The church will also be holding another yard sale on Sept. 17-18-19. The money raised will go directly to the Fairview Church.
The Etters’ had hoped to have the sale last week, but the pop-up Saturday prevented it.

— Pleasant Gap Lioness Yard Sale will be held at the pavilion behind the Pleasant Gap Legion, 435 S. Main St., Pleasant Gap, on Thursday and Friday, June 25-26, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be something for everyone! Most items aren’t priced but you can make a fair value donation. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
— Centre Hall Community Yard Sale dates are June 26-27. Centre Hall Fire Company will be selling breakfast and lunch foods and Mr. Sticky’s will be there, too!
BENEFIT FOR RAYLIN
A benefit is being held at the Pleasant Gap American Legion on Wednesday, June 24, starting at 5 p.m., for Raylin Gardner, a 13-year-old boy battling thyroid cancer. The Legion will have Wing Night for a Cause from 5-8 p.m. to raise funds for Raylin and his family as well as a basket raffle.
Donations of baskets, gift cards or other prizes are needed and can be dropped off at the Legion anytime now through June 24. The baskets will be arranged and you can stop by anytime to purchase tickets to win! As more and more baskets come in you’ll want to be sure to come out for the Wings on Wednesday evening and get more raffle tickets! Raffle winners will be announced after the Wing Night ends on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
Raylin is the grandson of Tucker and Laura Gardner, who live on the Jacksonville Road near Bellefonte.
Come out and help to support Raylin and be sure to keep him in your thoughts and prayers!
CURTIN
VILLAGE EVENTS
Celebrate summer at Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village! On Sunday, June 28, at 1 p.m., the Curtin Village will be having an Ownership Celebration Day.
Join friends and dignitaries in celebration of the Roland Curtin Foundation’s ownership of Curtin Village. This milestone marks a new chapter in preserving the site’s history. The 1 p.m. program will be followed by a reception. A guided tour of the property will begin at 2 p.m. Come for the celebration, stay for the tour or just come for the guided tour on this special day honoring the site and the people who will keep Curtin Village thriving.
There is no admission or tour fee for this event. Donations are appreciated and directly support preservation and programming at Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village.

LIGHTHOUSE CAMP
CONCERTS
Lamar Lighthouse Camp has announced its Summer Concert Series. Each of the concerts will be held on Sunday evening beginning at 6 p.m. The concerts are free, with a love offering taken each week.
The Needhams will be performing on June 21 and rounding out the month on June 28 will be Williamson Branch.
The concerts continue each Sunday evening through Sept. 27.

LIONS NEWS
— Snow Shoe Lions Club is having a Celebration for America’s 250th birthday Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Snow Shoe Park, 301 E. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe.
So far there’s about 30 craft and food vendors signed up to attend. There will be a craft show, flea market, raffles and a Chinese auction. There will be lots of food including a Chicken BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, funnel cakes and more! Come out and support the Snow Shoe Lions Club with their celebration and with their fundraising efforts! Snow Shoe Lions have their “Lucky Lotto” raffle tickets on sale now for $5 each for a chance to win $1,000 in Lottery scratch off tickets. The winning number will be the one drawn in the Pick 3 Lottery game on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available from club members or at the funnel cake booth during the June 20 Celebration.
— Milesburg Lions Club holds a weekly Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.
MONUMENT FESTIVAL
The Monument Festival will be held on Friday, June 19, from 6-9 p.m., and on Saturday, June 20, from 1-9 p.m.
On Friday night there will be food and Karaoke.
Events kick off on Saturday with a chicken dinner starting at 1 p.m., until sold out. There will be live music, kid’s games and food throughout the day.
Vendors are invited to come and if you’d like to be a vendor you should call Brett Glossner at 570-367-1743.
The festival concludes on Saturday evening with a fireworks show starting at dark.
FIRE NEWS
— Millheim Fire Company’s annual carnival will be held June 18-20. Thursday night kicks off with a firemen’s parade, rain or shine, starting at 7 p.m. Parade line-up starts at 6 p.m. AJ the DJ will be providing the entertainment after the parade.
There will be nightly prize drawings, food, games, music and fun for the whole family.
Saturday the Garden Tractor Pulls start at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Pedal pull competition is at 7 p.m. for children ages 3-9 years. Registration begins at 6 p.m.
DJ Ricky Lapean will provide the entertainment. The cake auction closes out the carnival at 10 p.m. You won’t want to miss bidding on all those fabulously decorated cakes!
— Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week. Please call Mark at 814-355-2753 if you’d like to be a vendor.
There are also a few bonus flea markets happening on specific Sundays during the summer months. Those Sundays will be July 12 and Aug. 9. The flea markets will be held at the Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap.
— Miles Township (Rebersburg) Fire Company’s carnival will be on July 9-11. Parade starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening with line-up starting at 6 p.m. at the township building. Brush Mountain Band will perform after the parade.
On Friday night Hitchcock Railway will perform. Carnival runs from 5-11 p.m. and features rides, games, food and raffle drawings.
Saturday night will see the Kiddy Tractor Pull starting at 6 p.m. with registration at 5 p.m.
Be sure to get your raffle ticket for the Miles Township Fire Company’s Gun Raffle that’s planned for Sept. 12. Tickets are $10 each of 3/$20 and will be available at the carnival or from any fire company member. The grand prize is a 2026 Polaris Ranger 1000 RTV.
— Snow Shoe Fire Company’s carnival is scheduled for July 14-18, held at the Snow Shoe Carnival Grounds. Parade is on Wednesday, July 15, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Be sure to get your tickets for the fire company’s annual raffle that will be held on Aug. 1 from noon to 5 p.m.
— Gregg Township (Spring Mills) Fire Company’s carnival will be on July 30-Aug. 1. Parade is on Thursday evening. On Friday night, from 7-10 p.m., The Needhams will be performing live music.
— Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s annual gun raffle will be held on Sept. 12 at the carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the station or from any fire company member. There are 25 gun and cash prizes along with other chances to win during the drawing. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the drawing runs from noon until 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided. Must be 21 with a photo ID to enter.

— Lock Haven High’s Class of 1967 will be gathering for their 59th class reunion Saturday, June 20, at 3 p.m., at Joyce Beaty’s house, 153 Beach St., Blanchard. Those attending should bring a covered dish or dessert to share. Classmates and their guests should also bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating. — Summit Hill Wesleyan Church is having a Saturday Bible School on June 27. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., children and their parents are invited to enjoy Bible stories, food, a foam machine and a bounce house. — Milesburg Museum is having a bronze sign made that lists the 15 Patriots from Milesburg as well as the 17 founding families of Milesburg to commemorate America250. An unveiling ceremony is being planned for June 28, at 4 p.m., at the Milesburg Post Office. There will be birthday cake, also!
Milesburg was settled in 1760, before the Revolutionary War, and the town proudly boasts that Milesburg had the most Patriots from Centre County!
More info will be coming closer to the Patriot unveiling and celebration date.

— Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is having their annual Roger A. White Fun Fair and Silent Auction on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church. There will be a moon bounce, games, food, baked goods, a jello eating contest at 1 p.m. and the Silent Auction winners chosen at 2 p.m. Special guests include a balloon artist and the Bald Eagle State Park environmentalists.
