Jersey Shore students honored by Business and Professional Women organization

PHOTO PROVIDED The Jersey Shore Business and Professional Women recently honored 10 seniors from Jersey Shore Area High School after being named Girl of the Month for the 2025-2026 school year.

JERSEY SHORE — Ten Jersey Shore Area High School seniors were honored by the Jersey Shore Business and Professional Women (BPW) during the organization’s annual Girls of the Month dinner held May 20 at the Jersey Shore Moose Lodge.

The students recognized during the program were Lynna Clark, Makayla Wrench, Zara del Rosario, Nina Steppe, Julia Herman, Lila Nestlerode, Gracelyn Harsanyi, Mya Lehman, Sydney Brungard and Danielle Miller.

Throughout the school year, each student was selected as a Girl of the Month based on her accomplishments, leadership and activities. During the dinner program, the honorees spoke about their high school experiences and shared their future educational and career plans. Mothers of the students and BPW members attended the event in recognition of their achievements.

BPW Pennsylvania is a statewide organization with more than 1,100 members in 42 local organizations and 10 districts throughout the state. The organization advocates for issues affecting working women and their careers.

The Jersey Shore BPW chapter, founded in 1926, is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary.
