Monday, July 6

— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Bring a sturdy box and any empty egg cartons you have.

— Blood Drive, 1-6 p.m., at Tri County N/C Church, Main St., Mill Hall.

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station at 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

Tuesday, July 7

— Milesburg Food Bank is open from 1-3 p.m. at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church.

— Covenant Cafe (an early Alzheimer’s and dementia program) will meet from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. It’s Penn State Ice Cream Day for those attending. Pam Blesh will be dishing up the ice cream to everyone. Bill Raco will have photos of those celebrating birthdays. A patriotic sing-along and patriotic Bingo are also planned. Wednesday, July 8

— St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460.

— Blanchard Church of Christ Food Pantry will distribute food from 3-5 p.m. Call the church office at 570-962-2423 for details.

— Covenant United Methodist Church’s Walk by Faith program will meet each Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., weather permitting, to walk, get fresh air and exercise and to fellowship. Call Fran at 570-263-2084 for more details. The walk will be at the Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Meet at the former train station.

— Marion Township Supervisors meeting, 6:30 p.m., at the township building in Jacksonville.

Thursday, July 9

— BEN Class of 1961 will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at Haywoods on the Green in Mill Hall. All classmates and their guests are invited.

— Miles Township (Rebersburg) Fire Company’s Carnival. Parade starts at 7 p.m. Line-up begins at 6 p.m. at the township building. Brush Mountain Band will perform.

— Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week. Vendors are being sought for the weekly markets. Set up begins at 6 a.m. For a vendor spot, call Mark at 814-355-2753.

There’s also a few bonus flea markets happening on specific Sundays during the summer months. Those Sundays will be July 12 and Aug. 9. The flea markets will be held at the Pleasant Gap Fire Company’s carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap, Pa.

— Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.

Friday, July 10

— St John’s UCC of Tylersville, 3782 Narrows Road, Loganton, will be having a large church yard sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on July 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There’s something for everyone!

— Blood Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Zion Community Church, Bellefonte.

— Miles Township (Rebersburg) Fire Company’s Carnival, 5-11 p.m. Hitchcock Railway will perform. Rides, games, food and raffle drawings. Kids Tractor Pull at 6 p.m., registration at 5 p.m.

— Lock Haven’s Summer Concert Series at Triangle Park, Keith & Sonya’s Acoustic Roadshow performing Americana/Rock from 6-8 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Susquehanna Events Center, 216 E. Main St., Lock Haven. Visit www.lockhavenpa.gov for the full concert schedule.

— Orviston Festival, 6 p.m. Whiffle Ball Sluggers Derby. Food and craft vendors will be open until about 9 p.m.

— Stop by Hyner Run State Park at 3:30 p.m. and learn about some of the “Pollinators” you may see at the park this time of year. There will also be a craft. Meet at the pool.

— Join the park naturalist at Hyner Run State Park at 8 p.m. for some “Evening Birding.” Topics will include the different birds that live at Hyner Run and how to identify them. Feel free to bring your own binoculars or borrow some of the park’s gear. Also, feel free to bring other birding gear. Meet at the amphitheater by the pool.

Saturday, July 11

— Orviston Festival all day beginning with breakfast from 7-10 a.m. Food and craft vendors will be open all day. Opening Ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. Parade at 2 p.m. Get your basket raffle tickets before 6:30 p.m. since winners will be drawn. Raffle winners announced at 9 a.m. and closing remarks before the Fireworks Finale at 9:30 p.m.

— Miles Township (Rebersburg) Fire Company’s Carnival, Rides, games, food and raffle drawings.
