-- The 8th Annual CCDC "For the Love of it" Blood Drive, 1-6 p.m., at the Dunnstown fire station.
-- LHHS Class of 1955 will be having their monthly luncheon at noon at the Jersey Shore Diner. Lunch will be outside. All classmates and guests are invited.
-- Students can register for the Central Mountain Clay Target Team at Liberty Township Sportsmen's Club in Marsh Creek, beginning at 6 p.m. More info can be found on the team's Facebook page, Central Mountain Clay Target League.
THURSDAY
-- Pleasant Gap Fire Company's flea market will be held each Thursday through Aug. 20. The flea market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food, produce, antiques, collectibles, crafts and more will be available at the flea market each week. Vendors are being sought for the weekly markets. There's also a bonus flea market happening on Sunday, Aug. 9. The flea markets will be held at the Pleasant Gap Fire Company's carnival grounds, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap.
-- The 2026 Wings Over Piper R/C model plane fun fly will be held at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, July 30 to Aug. 1. Hours for the event are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.
August 2026 marks the 24th Edition of Wings Over Piper. The event honors the role Lock Haven and the Piper Aircraft Corporation played in creating our country's general aviation industry. It also gives model plane enthusiasts the opportunity to fly their planes at an historic venue. The "landing fee" for pilots is $25 for the entire event or $10 a day. Spectators are always welcome and there will be a concession stand.

-- Lemont Village Green concert, 7:30-9 p.m., featuring The John Wise Band. Check the website, www.lemontvillage.org, after 5 p.m. for weather conditions. Lightning will cause the concert to be moved indoors to the Granary. The concerts are free. Scout Troop 367 will have ice cream cones available beginning at 7 p.m. Your monetary donation for the cones will help the troop with their scouting activities/ The concerts are held at the Lemont Village Green, 133 Mt. -- Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. announced the upcoming Christmas in July themed Final Friday, from 3-9 p.m., on East Main Street and Triangle Park throughout the shopping and dining district. The event is designed to offer the opportunity to explore the city while enjoying a traffic-free closed East Main Street. Activities include live disc jockey dance music, photo booth, appearance by a mermaid in a portable koi pond from the Appalachian Mermaid Society, Party Time Petting Zoo featuring a Highland Cow, Master Magician Michaelangelo Magic show at 4 p.m. on street stage, appearances by Princess Belle and the Elf on the Shelf on Summer Vacation, personalized caricature drawings by Sam Saxton, face painting by BadMynx Design, temporary tattoos, Ion Temons MMA demonstration on the street, local vendors and exhibitors, store sales, dining on the street, lodging discount at Best Western Lock Haven and a live performance by Kopper and Kash.
Pacific Rhythm Polynesian Entertainment, a Pennsylvania-based family troupe with Samoan ties and origins, will perform dance, music and authentic costumes from Pacific Islands such as Hawaii, Tonga, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand and Tahiti. The show is scheduled from 5-5:45 p.m. and is free to the public. It will feature education, audience participation and traditional coconut cracking demonstration. Big Willy will be in front of Stella A's at 6:30 p.m.

-- Pathway to Christ Church's Yard and Bake Sale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church at 502 McElhattan Drive, McElhattan. The baked goods items will be priced, but the yard sale items can be yours for a cash donation of your choice. Proceeds will be used by the church to touch others in the community.
