MILL HALL — The Keystone Central Foundation has announced the return of it’s signature fundraiser event — the Poker Run Golf Tournament — on Friday, Aug. 14, at Clinton Country Club with a 2 p.m. shotgun start.

This year’s tournament will hold special meaning as they honor the memory of their friend and volunteer, Pete Smeltz and his willingness to help support the students of Keystone Central School District.

The tournament will have a special nod to Pete with games such as the “Pick-a-Pete” card game, and card decks featuring his photos.

Those who don’t golf but want to support Pete’s scholarship can stop by from 2-7 p.m. to participate in the games.

Golfers can look forward to an afternoon filled with fun, friendly competition, and exciting contests, including:

— Entry into the Poker Run with a $1,000 jackpot.

— Hit It and Get It putting contest featuring local gift cards, liquor and prizes.

— Skins competition.

— Men’s and Women’s prizes for Longest Drive & Closest to the Pin.

Registration is $125 per golfer or $500 per foursome and includes fees, entry into the Poker Run, food, beer, gift bag, door prizes, mulligans and entry into the in-course games.

The foundation is looking for golfers, sponsors and prize donations.
