The Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven recently heard a presentation from Lock Haven City Planner/Interim Manager Abbey Roberts at its meeting Thursday, July 16. Roberts spoke to the club about the complete update to the city's zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO), which will be considered for final adoption by city council in August. Roberts said the zoning ordinance had not been overhauled since 2008 and SALDO since 1998, leading to the decision in early 2025 to make the changes. Roberts' presentation highlighted the user-friendly nature of the proposed ordinance and explained how it was developed through collaboration with community stakeholders, too.
