Pinch N Poke Summer Bash draws hundreds to downtown Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN -- The streets of downtown Lock Haven were filled with excitement on the weekend of July 25-26, as Pinch N Poke Tattoo Studio hosted its annual Summer Bash, transforming the area into a community celebration that attracted hundreds of visitors from across the region.

The two-day event featured more than 500 custom tattoo designs, with eager customers lining up outside the studio throughout the weekend.

While tattoos remained the centerpiece of the event, the Summer Bash expanded far beyond the studio's doors, bringing together local businesses, vendors, entertainers and families for a festive atmosphere.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities and special promotions, including food trucks, meal specials from local restaurants, coffee specials at Avenue 209, boba tea and energy drink specials at Pearl's Cafe, specialty drinks at Uncle Al's, wing specials and specialty hot dogs at Odd Fellas and permanent jewelry by Momoyo Otsu.

Families also took advantage of outdoor games such as Giant Jenga, Cornhole and ring toss, along with free face painting, temporary tattoos, glitter tattoos for children and hair braiding and extensions.

Live music on Saturday evening added to the block party atmosphere.

For owner Brittany Brown, the event is about much more than tattoos.

"Our goal is to grow this into a true community event year after year," Brown said. "That's one of the best parts about living in a small town -- we get to throw our own block party, support local businesses and spend the weekend with friends, family and neighbors."

Brown's vision was evident throughout the weekend, as neighboring businesses worked together to create a welcoming environment that encouraged visitors to explore downtown while supporting local establishments.

As the event continues to grow, organizers hope it will remain an annual tradition that brings together local businesses, artists, residents and visitors for years to come.
