Van Wagner to perform stories at Farrandsville Furnace Sunday afternoon

1 min read

FARRANDSVILLE -- On Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m., Van Wagner will be at the Farrandsville Furnace to perform songs and stories of the iron making days in Clinton County.

This program is sponsored by the Clinton County Historical Society. Bring your lawn chair for fair weather watching; if it rains they will meet inside the township building across the street from the furnace.

Prior to the program there will be a five-mile moderate community hike starting at 11:30 a.m. at the furnace and ending back at the furnace for the Van Wagner program.

You must pre-register for the hike at www.heylo.group/haven-hiking-outdoor-rec.

The township will provide hot dogs while supplies last during the program.

The historical society has received a grant to save this important building in our community. Come celebrate the leading technology of the 19th century, the first successful hot-blast furnace in all of the Americas, right here in Clinton County.

Check out www.clintoncountypahistory.org for information on upcoming programs, research, membership, volunteering or making a donation to the furnace project.

Starting at /week.
