Woodmen Life picnic
Woodmen Life members and their families are invited to the annual Hot Dog and Corn Roast on Monday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m., at Bald Eagle State Park. Bring a covered dish to share at the picnic. For more info call Larry Butler at 570-726-6635.
Seats available
Seats are still available on the Pennsylvania Happy Travelers' show trip to Branson, Mo., scheduled for Oct. 4-10. The trip includes six shows, 10 meals, transportation and six nights lodging. The price is $850 and reservations must be made as soon as possible by calling Judy Walker at 570-726-4426.
Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held as follows:
Aug. 5, from 12:30-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard fire hall.
Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Wingate Faith Church, Runville Road, Bellefonte.
Aug. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Flemington. St. Luke's will be serving root beer floats.
