Milesburg Bingo
The Milesburg Lions will not be holding their weekly Bingo at the Milesburg Community Center on Aug. 20 and Aug. 27 because of Grange Fair. Bingo will resume on Thursday, Sept. 3. Doors open at 5 p.m., and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.
Fall Festival
Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club is having a fall festival filled with artisans, crafters and direct sales vendors at the club house on Sept. 12. The festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine! In addition to the vendors there will be a basket raffle (to benefit Bear Country's Christmas Wish), kids' games, prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Country Jam
The Back Porch String Band's Country Jam will be held on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 2-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard fire hall. Country Jam is held the fourth Sunday afternoon of each month except in December. The afternoon of music is free, and those attending should bring a snack to share with others there. A hat is passed for you to contribute a few dollars to thank the Howard Fire Company for allowing the folks to gather there for Country Jam each month.
