-- LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1955 will hold their monthly luncheon at 12 p.m. at Santino's in Jersey Shore. All classmates and their guests are welcome.
-- Covenant UM Church's Walk by Faith program, 6 p.m., at Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Meet at the former train station. Bring a friend, walk for exercise and fellowship with others. Weather permitting! Thursday, Aug. 27:
-- LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1964 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. at the Gamble Farm in Jersey Shore. All class members and their guests are invited. Call Donna Barton at 570-748-6821 to make your reservations.
-- Milesburg Lions Club's Bingo won't be held because of Grange Fair. Bingo will resume on Sept. 3. Bingo is held each Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.
-- Old School Market at East End Mountain Road in Mill Hall, the former Rote Elementary, will have a benefit auction for David Fisher starting at 3:30 p.m.
-- Senior Citizen's Day at the Grange Fair. Those 62 and older admitted free, but parking rates will apply. Grange Fair Parade at 1 p.m. Exhibit buildings closed during the parade; Light Farm Tractor Pulls at 6 p.m.; Invasion at the grandstand at 8 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 28:
-- Old School Market, former Rote Elementary at East End Mountain Road in Mill Hall, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday. A grocery auction will be held beginning at 5 p.m.
-- Join the naturalist at Hyner Run State Park at 3:30 p.m. to learn some of the characteristics of an insect and go on a little "Insect Safari." There will be a craft. This program is intended for children, but anyone is free to attend. Meet at the amphitheater by the pool.
-- At Hyner Run State Park at 8 p.m., step back into time and experience the culture of the lumbermen in the late 1800's and the "Lumbering of Hyner." Topics will include the local history and prehistory of the area, the different developments made in the era and the results at the end of the era. Meet at the amphitheater by the pool. Please bring a lawn chair.
Saturday, Aug. 29:
-- The Danny Greendoner, Jr. Memorial Basket Raffle will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Clinton Country Club, 41 Fairway View Drive, Mill Hall. So far there are more than 60 baskets that have been donated for the raffle. Proceeds from the memorial basket raffle will benefit the Danny Greendoner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund.
--Baby Rave is a family-friendly dance party created especially for little ones ages 0-4 and the people who love them most. On Aug. 29 from 4-6 p.m. at Bald Birds Brewing Company, families can enjoy music from a live DJ, kid-themed drinks and snacks, dancing, lights and a fun atmosphere designed for tiny feet and big energy. More than just a party, Baby Rave is a fundraiser supporting Roads to Peace in Lock Haven, with proceeds going toward helping domestic violence victims and their families. We wanted to create an event that brings the community together in a joyful, welcoming space while also making a meaningful impact for local women and children who need support.
