CCDC blood drive draws strong community support

DUNNSTOWN -- The Clinton County Democratic Committee (CCDC) held its eighth community blood drive, "CCDC For the Love of It," on Wednesday, July 29, at the Dunnstown Fire Hall.
The drive was a strong success, resulting in 37 donations from community members who took time to help meet the ongoing need for blood products.
Organizers expressed their appreciation to the individuals and organizations that helped make the event possible. The Dunnstown Fire Hall generously provided the facility free of charge, and support was also received from all three local Weis Markets stores.
The event attracted both first-time donors and experienced donors who regularly participate in blood drives.
Several teenagers took part, demonstrating a commitment to community service at a young age. Among the donors was a mother-and-son team, Heather Yost and her son, Liam, who donated together.
One dedicated regular donor even traveled several hours to participate in the drive, underscoring the importance many community members place on supporting the local blood supply.
"The success of this drive reflects the generosity and caring spirit of Clinton County residents," said Rose Reeder, chair of the blood drive. "Every donation has the potential to save lives, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed their time and support."
The Clinton County Democratic Committee thanks all donors, volunteers, sponsors and community partners who helped make the eighth CCDC blood drive a success.
