FLEMINGTON -- On Wednesday, Sept. 9, The Lock Haven Christian Women's Connection will enjoy their "O Beautiful for Spacious Skies" luncheon. The lunch and program will be held at the Flemington Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Flemington.
The programs for this year have been planned with historical or patriotic themes to honor our nation's birthday. Therefore, the theme of September's program is "O Beautiful for Spacious Skies" and the guest feature presenter is Ron Dremel. Dremel's presentation will discuss the contents and programs of The Piper Museum. There is always good food, lots of fun, door prizes, music from gifted vocalists and inspiring speakers that help inform and encourage ladies to make a most memorable day.
The special music guest for the day is the extremely talented Linda Koch from the Bellefonte area. Musical guests are those who are most often well known in the area and thoroughly enjoyed by local audiences. Ms. Koch is a vocal soloist, a pianist and plays the bells.
Speaking on Sept. 9 will be Susan Pasquali from the Harrisburg area. Susan is a former make-up consultant for a major department store. Her talk focuses on "What Women Really Want To Know."
The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The cost of $17 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.
This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long-time friends. The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh.
Again the date for Christian Women's Luncheon is Sept. 9. The group is asking all who plan to attend to make reservations. Reservations MUST be made by Sept. 3 by calling Bobbie Jo at 570-748-8708, by calling or texting Jerri at 570-295-5725, or by e-mailing Ann at lockhavencwc@aol.com. All reservations for the luncheon MUST be honored.
Dates for Christian Women's luncheons throughout the rest of the year are: Oct. 28 and Dec. 9.
