LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County Democratic Committee (CCDC) officially opened its headquarters for the 2026 election cycle on Saturday, Aug. 22. The office is located at 120 E. Walnut St., Unit 3, in the Save-a-Lot Plaza in Lock Haven. The office hours will be Monday-Friday noon-6 p.m., and Saturday from noon-3 p.m.
Sara Eggler, Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania's 76th House District, and Ray Bilger, Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania's 15th Congressional District, participated in a ceremonial blue-ribbon cutting to mark the opening.
In brief remarks, Eggler emphasized the importance of having a local campaign headquarters.
"Having a physical office space is about much more than having four walls and a desk," Eggler said. "It's a place where everyone is welcome, where people can come together, build connections and engage in thoughtful, respectful, open dialogue. It's a symbol of our democracy, honoring the sacrifices of those who came before us and extending an open-door invitation to younger generations."
Eggler said the headquarters will provide opportunities for civic engagement and community involvement.
"This space offers a tangible example of what local government could look like when it truly serves the people," she said. "It creates opportunities to bridge generational and partisan divides while fostering understanding, civic engagement and a stronger sense of community. For many of us, it represents the fulfillment of a long-held hope: a place where people from all walks of life, different backgrounds and different beliefs can be heard and work together toward common goals."
Eggler added that she is committed to working for all residents of Clinton County and to bringing new opportunities to the region.
Bilger said he decided to run for Congress because many families across central Pennsylvania are facing increasing challenges and too many young people are leaving the area in search of opportunities elsewhere.
"The American Dream seems to be in peril for many people," Bilger said. "I want to help rebuild the 15th Congressional District by bringing opportunities and hope back to rural Pennsylvania."
Bilger emphasized his commitment to improving the quality of life for Clinton County residents and strengthening the economic future of the district.
