STATE COLLEGE -- Music, glow golf and community spirit will come together for an unforgettable evening at Penn State Golf Courses as the Jana Marie Foundation hosts its first annual Shine On Community Concert and Night Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 15. The family-friendly event raises critical funds to support youth mental wellness and suicide prevention programs throughout Central Pennsylvania.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Shine On Community Concert, featuring rising Nashville artist Caryn Dixon and opening performance by local favorite Area 38. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of live music while taking part in activities for all ages, including a mini golf course, yard games and opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. Tickets for the concert are $10.

As the sun sets, the excitement continues with one of the area's most unique golf experiences. At 8:30 p.m., golfers will tee off in the Shine On Glow-in-the-Dark Night Golf Tournament, a nine-hole event where the course is illuminated with glow sticks and players use glow-in-the-dark golf balls to navigate the course under the stars.

Teams of four are invited to participate, with registration beginning at $600 per team. Tournament registration includes admission to the concert, a meal ticket and drink tickets for each golfer, making it an evening of entertainment, friendly competition and community impact.

"This event is a celebration of hope, connection and the incredible support our community continues to show for youth mental wellness," said Marisa Vicere, Founder and President of the Jana Marie Foundation. "Whether you're coming to enjoy the music, experience glow golf for the first time or simply to spend an evening with family and friends, every ticket purchased helps us provide mental health education and suicide prevention programs across our region."

Proceeds from the Shine On event directly support the Jana Marie Foundation's no-cost programs that build resilience, strengthen connections and teach young people how to recognize challenges, support one another and seek help when needed. Through school-based education, summer camps, after-school programs, parent workshops and community trainings, the Foundation reaches thousands of children, teens and adults each year.

Community members are encouraged to attend the concert, register a golf team, become a sponsor or volunteer. Every participant helps expand access to mental wellness education and create stronger, more connected communities.
