Eggler continues community outreach with upcoming late-summer events

LOCK HAVEN -- Sara Eggler, who has coined herself as a non-partisan candidate for the 76th District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, is closing out a summer of community outreach with several campaign milestones on the calendar.

After recently attending the opening of the Clinton County Democratic headquarters, Eggler -- who secured the Democratic nomination in the May Primary -- has a number of public gatherings coming up.

Three dates headline the campaign's late-August plans:

-- Aug. 22 from 12-2 p.m.: Free Hot Dog Lunch. Eggler and her team will hold a meet-and-greet at Triangle Park, with a free grilled hot dog lunch, for anyone who stops by. Residents across the area are invited and encouraged to attend.

-- Aug. 25: Campaign Office Official Opening Date. The Clinton County Democratic Party will open its new headquarters in the Save-A-Lot plaza at 120 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. The office is intended to be a steady home base for conversations with neighbors and community members.

"Having a physical office space is about much more than having doors and a computer," Eggler said. "It is a place where people can come together, build connections, and engage in the open dialogues our district deserves."

-- August 26 from 5-8 p.m.: "Fund the Future!" Benefit Concert. The fundraiser will take place at the newly opened Haven Exchange, 104 E. Main St., Lock Haven, and will include food, drinks, plus live music from local favorite The Echo & Sway. Attendance is capped at 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis and any remaining tickets will be available at the door. Visit the event page or the campaign's facebook page to secure your tickets.

"Over the summer, Eggler has been showing up at local meetings, volunteering, and spending time listening to concerns raised by residents throughout the 76th District," a release from Eggler's campaign said. "Opening the new office is also a meaningful step up in campaign operations as fall approaches."
