Historical society to host singer, ceramic arts at Poorman Gallery Aug. 9

LOCK HAVEN -- Sunday, Aug. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Poorman Gallery on Water Street in Lock Haven, you can enjoy the songs of David Pinelli and the ceramic art of John Young.
David will present "The River Boy Show," original songs of growing up on the banks of the Susquehanna River. Although David no longer resides in the county he returns each year to reminisce with us about his boyhood days.
John, of Castanea, was a respected hunter and fisherman who told the story of his outdoor experiences in clay and paint, forming the figures by hand, not on a wheel. His family graciously loaned this collection to the historical society to share with the community John loved.
The Clinton County Historical Society is pleased to showcase the talents of these men who tell the story of living in our county. The mission of the society is to collect, preserve and share the history of our region.
