The Alzheimer's and Caregivers' Support Group will meet Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 West Main St., Lock Haven. There is convenient parking next to the church and a handicapped accessible entrance.
Victoria James, Outreach Coordinator with Alert 1, a medical alert system and personal safety alarm service, will be the guest speaker. Medical alert systems are geared to people with memory and cognitive issues, communication issues, as well as wandering and falling issues. They are easy to use, affordable and give reliable peace of mind to those with dementia and their loved ones. Victoria will explain how the systems work and the benefits of having one.
Sitter service can be provided to the person with memory loss at the church while caregivers are attending the meeting. Prior arrangements must be made for this service.
