Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and Ian Temmons MMA Studio have partnered to offer a free MMA Striking Seminar, Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Susquehanna Event Center, 216 E. Main St. The introductory seminar does not require special equipment or personal contact. Ian will assist learners in learning the basics of striking from a personal stance as well as Thai boxing combinations. The seminar is appropriate for anyone age 13 and up but parental consent is required. Attendees should arrive early in order to sign an insurance waiver. The studio recently opened at 228 E. Main St. Rick Schulze, DLH manager noted, "we want to highlight our various businesses available in the community and this is an ideal opportunity for anyone to learn about MMA, balance, coordination and explore experiences sometimes not available to the public.
