LOCK HAVEN -- This year is not just America's 250th. It's also the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies, and Angel Lights will commemorate it as they glow in Triangle Park the evening of Friday, Sept. 11.
Which angels will you remember and honor on this anniversary?
Angel Lights are offered by the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven. Everyone may sponsor one or more of the luminarias for a donation of $5 each. You may decorate and personalize yours with the name of a loved one or group you wish to honor.
Each year, luminarias respect and remember first-responders, teachers, veterans, current troops, friends, loved ones, anyone who needs their spirits lifted.
On Friday, Sept. 11, Rotary club members will light the luminarias in the downtown park, and the lights will shine together as a display of love.
The luminaria bags are available at The Bus Stops Here store, 25 E. Main St., Lock Haven. You may make your donation and personalize your bag there any time the store is open. If you wish, you may take your bag home to decorate it and return it later.
The bags will also be available at the park on Sept. 11, starting around 2 p.m.
Proceeds benefit community causes and local nonprofits.
