Stella A’s announces closure at downtown location

LOCK HAVEN -- After almost two decades of serving residents in and around Clinton County, Stella A's Bar and Grill will be closing its location in downtown Lock Haven after Friday, Sept. 25.
The announcement came over the weekend and was made by owner, Louis Anastos.
"After 17 amazing years, Stella A's is going to close at this location," Anastos said via social media. "I would like to thank all of our great employees over the years. Without their hard work it would not have been possible."
Anastos told The Express he does not own the building where the restaurant is located and was leasing the space.
In his announcement, he emphasized the community's part in making the years in operation a success.
"We have a great community that supports our home grown local businesses. Thank you to the great Clinton County residents and surrounding areas that supported Stella A's," he shared.
Stella A's will remain open until Friday, Sept. 25. The night, which is a collaborative street closure with Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and The Apothecary for the annual Moonlight Market.
During this closure, Stella A's will offer outdoor seating and a special performance by in-house band, Mini Wheat, from 6 to 9 p.m.
"Please make your reservations as we celebrate our 17 years. We will continue to honor gift certificates up until Sept. 25," Anastos encouraged. "I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. See you at Stella's."
Stella A's is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12 to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12 to 9 p.m.
