LOCK HAVEN -- Interested in giving back to your community, supporting local organizations or simply learning more about how you can make a difference? The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven invites the public to stop by its Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ross Library in Gross Room A.
Enjoy light refreshments, meet Rotary members and special guests, and learn more about the club's work to support the community. The informal open house is a great opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for helping people right here in Clinton County.
The event will also recognize four local organizations that will receive donations from funds raised at the club's recent bingo fundraiser: the Ross Library Bookmobile Campaign, Boxes of Hope, Lock Haven Shoe Bank and Citizens Hose Company No. 5. These contributions reflect Downtown Lock Haven Rotary's commitment to supporting programs and organizations that make a positive impact on the lives of local residents.
Special guests will include Brandon Carter, City Manager of Lock Haven; Ed Hosler, Deputy Chief Adult/Juvenile Probation Officer at Clinton County Probation; and Clark, the Courthouse Facility Dog.
Downtown Lock Haven Rotary is always looking for people who want to get involved, meet new friends and make a difference. Known for community projects such as Flags of Honor, Little Libraries, Holiday gift bags for veterans and Valentine's Day treats for first responders, the club finds meaningful--and often fun--ways to serve the community throughout the year.
Each member contributes a little time and effort, and together, those small acts of service make a big impact.
Curious about Rotary? Stop by the open house, enjoy some refreshments and discover how you can become a person of action! The event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
