BELLEFONTE -- Walker Township held its annual Fall Festival and Craft Fair on Saturday, Sept. 26, packing the park with families enjoying many fun activities amid the cool autumn air.
Children were able to decorate pumpkins and make various fall themed crafts.
Several local agencies were on hand to provide activities and crafts for kids. Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania provided air spray paint wands for kids to create colorful Autumn leaf pictures. Entomologist students from the PSU Frost Entomology Museum shared some interesting insects and spiders.
Balloon creations by Becky Homan and face painting by Andrea Harman were special attractions along with strolling magician Richard Benninghoff who delighted children and adults with his humor and slight of hand magic.
Children enjoyed playing many games and winning lots of prizes.
The highlight of the event was the big pile of straw where families were able to work together to make their own scarecrows to take home.
There were also several craft vendors on hand to sell their special creations.
"Thank you to the Walker Township Parks and Rec Department for providing this free fun family event every year," a release from the township said.
