If you'd like to reserve a table to be a bazaar vendor, please call Pam at 570-295-9592.

FALL YARD SALES

Milesburg residents are having their fall community wide yard sales today and tomorrow.

There may be some bargains waiting for you in Milesburg!

Milesburg residents are reminded that Riff-Raff collection will begin early on Saturday, Oct. 10. Please clean up around your homes and put your items to be discarded at the curb or the end of your driveway on Friday night so they can be picked up in the early morning hours on Saturday.

THANK YOU

Ron Heverly, President of the Romola Cemetery Association, has asked that I extend his appreciation to everyone who helped with the clean-up efforts at the Romola Cemetery after the flooding in early September.

It's hard to imagine that the small run beside the cemetery, that barely trickles during the driest days of summer, had become a raging river overflowing its banks and causing destruction.

Debris, large stones and mud were left scattered in the cemetery. Some of the headstones nearest the small bridge and Marsh Creek Road were toppled over by the flood waters.

Ron wants to especially thank Andrew Noll of Clinton County Memorials and Tim Rickert, a neighbor who lives near the church, for helping to reset those headstones again.

KNIT N' RUN

The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church is again partnering with the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club for their annual Knit N' Run on Saturday, Oct. 3. The public is invited to come to the church on Main Street in Mill Hall for a brunch beginning at 10 a.m., and to see all the beautiful items the Prayer Shawl Ministry's needleworkers have made. You'll also get your chance to meet some of the bikers from the SVBTMC who will be there for brunch and fellowship time before they load up and haul away the many lap robes, prayer shawls, afghans, baby blankets and sweater sets to take to area hospitals and nursing homes.

The bikers deliver the items to all of the hospitals from Mount Nittany in State College all the way to Geisinger in Danville, including Lock Haven, Bucktail, Jersey Shore, Williamsport and more, as well as to many of the nursing homes and personal care homes in the region!

Come to the brunch and see all of the creations that have been laid out on the church pews! It's a beautiful sight to see!

THANK YOU

Dave Etters, the pastor at the Fairview Church, has asked that I pass along his gratitude to all of those volunteers who came to help when he and his wife Sabrina were setting up for the yard sale last week. Dave and Sabrina also want to thank everyone who donated and brought items to be sold and also those who came to shop at the yard sale.

The Etters also want to thank everyone for their generous monetary donations given to the church when you came to shop. Almost $1,800 was raised from the yard sale. The proceeds will be used by the church to strengthen their outreach to folks of the community.

Pastor Dave and Sabrina invite folks of the community to attend services at the Fairview Church. Call 814-355-2815 for more information.
