LOCK HAVEN -- Leadership Clinton County's 2027 class gathered on Friday, Oct. 9, at the Annie Halenbake Ross Library in Lock Haven for its Boards, Committees and Finances session. The day focused on leadership development, community involvement and the importance of effective boards and committees in supporting local organizations.
The session featured Angelic Hardy and John Gradel of Commonwealth University-Lock Haven, both Leadership Clinton County graduates, who shared their knowledge and experience surrounding boards, committees and organizational finances. Their presentation offered participants an opportunity to learn more about the responsibilities and practices that help organizations operate effectively and serve their communities.
The day began with participant speeches, which is a requirement for completion of the program. Class members reflected on why they joined Leadership Clinton County and identified the strengths and weaknesses they bring to the program. These discussions encouraged self-awareness and helped participants better understand the leadership qualities they can develop throughout the program.
Participants also toured the Annie Halenbake Ross Library, gaining an opportunity to learn more about one of the community's local resources before continuing with the afternoon's leadership-focused programming.
