Local dealerships uniting to support breast cancer care at UPMC

By From Staff Reports 2 min read

WILLIAMSPORT -- Car dealerships across the region are teaming up with Susquehanna Health Foundation for the 2026 Drive for a Cause fundraiser benefitting breast health services at the Kathryn Candor Lundy Breast Health Center, part of UPMC Magee-Womens in Williamsport.

During the month of October, participating dealerships will donate $25 for every new or used car sold. Campaign funds support advanced screening, diagnostic technology and coordinated cancer care for patients throughout the region.

"Breast cancer affects far more than a single patient. It touches spouses, children, parents, friends and entire families," said Sherry Watts, president, Susquehanna Health Foundation. "Drive for a Cause is an easy way for people to make a meaningful difference. Whether they're purchasing a vehicle or making a gift online, they're helping strengthen resources that countless women may one day rely on."

Participating dealerships include Fairfield Auto Group, Kaiser Brothers, Miller Chevrolet, Murray Motors and Van Campen Motors.

For those not planning to purchase a vehicle this month, there are still ways to participate. Donations in support of Drive for a Cause may be made online through Susquehanna Health Foundation's website throughout the campaign.

Susquehanna Health Foundation also extends its appreciation to supporting sponsors M&M Paving & Excavating and Girlz in the Hoodie, along with media sponsors iHeartMedia, Lamar Advertising and Webb Weekly.
