Madison Textile Co. owned this mill in Lock Haven in the 30s. Later part of the Susquehanna Silk Mills, the plant was empty in 1936, when it became a place of refuge for flood refugees from homes inundated in the eastern end of town. The following year, it was occupied by Piper Aircraft Corp., and was incorporated in the complex of manufacturing structures which now occupies the site.
