Clad only in pajamas, two-year-old Philip Matter, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Matter, 404 S. Fairview St., took a two-block walk about 6:30 a.m. on a morning in the 1960s., and was found by, from left, Mrs. Gladys Geyer, of Mill Hall, and Mrs. Ella Young, of Beech Creek, as they traveled on Bellefonte Ave. on their way to work at Susque-View. Philip was a weekend guest at the Harold F. Lawless family, 119 S. Summit St., while his parents visited in New Jersey. While the family slept, the boy opened the front door and strolled towards Bellefonte Ave. After being found by the two women, he was taken to City Hall until the Lawless' were notified of his disappearance and whereabouts.
