AIDS Resource Alliance, Inc. receives grant from AstraZeneca Foundation to advance health equity in north central Pennsylvania

WILLIAMSPORT — AIDS Resource Alliance, Inc. has been awarded a third year grant of $249,949 from the AstraZeneca Foundation’s Creating Health Access for Next Generation Equity (CHANGE) program, which aims to improve access to quality healthcare for populations experiencing health disparities This funding will provide critical support to their primary care clinic, AR Health and enable staff to share best practices and lessons learned with other organizations similarly committed to advancing community health through a white paper.

AR Health aims to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes by providing high-quality primary care services in a welcoming environment to individuals living with HIV and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community residing in northcentral Pennsylvania, with the ultimate goal of building a healthier and more equitable community.

“We appreciate the AstraZeneca Foundation’s continued support through this third-year CHANGE grant,” said Kirsten Burkhart, Executive Director. “Together, we’re expanding access to quality care across our community, and this investment will play a pivotal role in narrowing disparities and elevating healthcare outcomes in these underserved populations.”
