LAMAR — Sara Eggler, local real estate agent and candidate for Pennsylvania’s 76th District State Representative, joined campaign manager Michael Madden on Sunday, April 19, 2026, for a major roadside clean-up effort along Route 64 in Porter Township.
The pair cleaned a 3/4 mile stretch of roadway from Dunkin’ in Lamar to Nittany Structures, collecting more than 330 gallons of trash in the process.
Eggler has proudly maintained this adopted section of Route 64 for several years as part of her ongoing commitment to community stewardship. She also maintains an adopted stretch of Route 445 in Walker Township, Centre County.
“Taking care of our communities starts with showing up and doing the work,” said Eggler. “Whether it’s helping families find homes, advocating for our district or cleaning up our roadsides, I believe leadership means rolling up your sleeves and leaving things better than you found them.”
Due to the large amount of debris collected, an additional clean-up event is planned for spring 2026 to complete the effort and continue beautifying the corridor.
Community members interested in learning more or participating in future clean-up events are encouraged to follow the campaign’s Facebook page for updates and announcements.
