Free course for those affected by another’s substance abuse being offered

WILLIAMSPORT — West Branch Drug & Alcohol Abuse Commission is offering a free eight week in-person transformational course for residents of Lycoming and Clinton County affected by another’s substance use or addiction. EMPORIUM — A Penn State Extension in-person workshop will provide evidence-based training aimed at saving lives and reducing suicidal behaviors. The workshop is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m., May 5, at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, 24 W. 4th St., Emporium, Pa. Penn State Extension educators will lead this webinar training, “Question, Persuade and Refer,” developed by the QPR Institute.
