LOCK HAVEN — Jeff Bayliff, owner of the Hear the Birds Hearing Aid Center at 306 N. Grove St., Lock Haven has added an over-the-counter hearing aid product to his prescription hearing aids.

“After having a few more inquiries about over the counter aids that are available at Walmart and Sam’s Club I decided to match their pricing, give a better warranty and offer service options,” Bayliff said.

Nationally, over the counter aids come with a pre-set hearing amplification, no adjustments other than volume, a one-year warranty and no professional service follow-up.

“I am matching those prices, setting an entry level internal prescription, giving a three-year warranty and service options. My prescription aids come with lifetime service. The over-the-counter models can be serviced with a per visit charge or for a small additional charge can have the lifetime service option,” Bayliff explained.
