Mount Nittany Health celebrates Employee of the Month

STATE COLLEGE -- Jacyntha Reik, clinical assistant, Mount Nittany Health's Physician Group, is a celebrated team member who makes an incredible difference in the health system each day. She goes above and beyond for patients and for her colleagues. She is continually praised by those she works with for her positive attitude and dedication to her job.
Jacyntha epitomizes all of Mount Nittany Health's core values of caring, excellence, integrity, respect, teamwork, and stewardship. For this honor, she is being recognized for exemplifying excellence in everything she does.
Jacyntha's nominator remarked on her commitment to teamwork and her contributions to our organization: "Our department supports multiple departments located in our suite. Jacyntha works well with all of the different departments and really takes ownership of the tasks she is assigned, as well as those she takes on when she identifies a need. She digs into the root cause of any issues that arise, and recognizes short-term solutions. She also finds long-term solutions so these problems won't happen again. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and our team is so lucky to have her."
Jacyntha is from Bellefonte. Before joining Mount Nittany Health in July 2022, she worked as a pharmacy tech, and then found her passion for the clerical side of healthcare. Jacyntha was a Registrar/Scheduler with Mount Nittany Health's Physician Group and recently switched positions. She now serves the community as a clinical assistant.
Jacyntha was honored to be named Employee of the Month.
"I love patient care. I think it is important to make people feel heard and to listen and help when you can," said Jacyntha. "I have not been in the healthcare profession for very long, but the care and dedication of the people that I have had the privilege to work with has been humbling and admirable. I cannot wait to see the opportunities that will come from working at Mount Nittany Health."
When Jacyntha isn't busy serving Mount Nittany Health, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also likes reading, writing and music. She has two dogs, Boo Boo, a blue heeler, who is the boss of the house and Sia, who is a German/Anatolian shepherd.
