WILLIAMSPORT -- UPMC hosted its third annual candlelight vigil for community members affected by suicide in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
"Suicide affects every community, and it's crucial that we come together to support one another and raise awareness," said Stan Cary, manager, Community Outreach, UPMC in North Central Pa. "This vigil is a reminder that no one should have to struggle alone, and help is always available."
Additional speakers at the event included Jason P. Bolt, assistant chief, Williamsport Bureau of Police; Amy Magee, practice manager, and Rev. John Charnock, director, Mission Integration & Ethics, Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services, UPMC in North Central Pa.
