UPMC Northcentral Pa. recently congratulated Hunter Barger, RN, UPMC Outpatient Emergency Department in Lock Haven, a DAISY Award winner for Quarter 1 of 2025. This recognition comes after she was nominated by two separate patients who shared their gratitude for her exceptional care. One patient said, “I had to go to the Emergency Department in Lock Haven for chest pain. I was scared. Hunter was my nurse from start to finish. She took excellent care of me and made sure I was comfortable. Hunter was very caring and kept me informed.” Another patient praised Hunter’s professionalism and positive attitude, stating, “Hunter was the most organized, friendly and enjoyable nurse I have ever had. She was efficient, courteous, respectful, enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate. She was just the most pleasant nurse.”
