WILLIAMSPORT -- As part of its celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the UPMC Disabilities Resource Center has recognized several employees across the health system for their efforts to advance accessibility and inclusion in health care. Among the honorees is Lyndsey Stiger, MSW, regional manager, Clinical Care Coordination and Discharge Planning, UPMC in North Central Pa.

Stiger received the 2025 UPMC Disabilities Resource Center Access & Impact Award, also known as the Disability Ally Award. This award highlights her exceptional leadership and dedication to fostering inclusive, patient-centered care environments for individuals with disabilities.

"Lyndsey's outstanding contributions to advancing accessible health care have improved UPMC and the communities we serve," said Ashli Molinero, D. Sc., director, UPMC Disabilities Resource Center. "This recognition reflects her leadership, innovation and unwavering commitment to creating environments where all individuals can thrive."

Presented annually, the UPMC Disabilities Resource Center's Access & Impact Awards honor individuals and teams who exemplify a strong commitment to disability inclusion, accessibility and equity across the health care system.

Lyndsey's sister, Kelsey Ecker, and her father, Marc Follmer, attended the ceremony in Pittsburgh and were inspired by each speaker and award winner. "Lyndsey and I grew up with an aunt who was born with an intellectual disability and has always been deeply loved and cherished by our family," shared Kelsey. "Lyndsey has always had a special place in her heart for making sure the world is welcoming and inclusive -- treating everyone with kindness and compassion."
