Geisinger Medical Center Muncy invites women to prioritize health on May 2 at upcoming health screening event
MUNCY — Geisinger Medical Center Muncy is encouraging women across Lycoming County and the surrounding region to take charge of their health by attending an upcoming Women’s Health Screening event. This convenient, comprehensive opportunity focuses on prevention, early detection and overall wellness.
“Women often put their health last while caring for others, but preventive screenings are critical to staying healthy and catching issues early,” said Danielle Forker, director of nursing at Geisinger Medical Center Muncy. “This event is an opportunity for women in our community to take time for themselves, connect with our care teams and access important services that can truly make a difference in their lives.”
The Women’s Health Screening event will include a range of preventive services, including:
— Mammograms for breast cancer screening
— Cervical cancer screenings (Pap tests)
— Blood pressure checks
— Cholesterol and glucose screenings
— Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
— Additional women’s health education
Women of all ages are encouraged to attend, whether they are due for routine screenings or simply want to learn more about maintaining their health. Early detection of conditions such as breast cancer and cervical cancer can significantly improve outcomes and quality of life.
The event will be held at Geisinger Medical Center Muncy on May 2, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hospital is located at 255 Route 220 Highway in Muncy.
