Nittany Valley Holistic Health introduces new machine to improve wellness

LAURA JAMESON/THE EXPRESS Andrew Petruzzi checks on various settings on the HOCATT machine at Nittany Valley Holistic Health on Monday, April 20. Andrew offers the device to help with a variety of chronic issues and more at the business.

MILL HALL — Nittany Valley Holistic Health has introduced a new care option to help individuals with chronic illness and other difficulties feel the best they possibly can be.

Andrew Petruzzi, who operates an athletic training business — Petruzzi Performance, out of Nittany Valley Holistic, purchased a HOCATT (Hyperthermic Ozone and Carbonic Acid Transdermal Technology) device for patients.

Petruzzi said the machine is designed for cellular respiration, helps detox the body and reinvigorates senescent cells, also known as “zombie cells.” He explained these cells are simply not working in the body and the HOCATT machine helps jump start them into action.

Those who use the machine typically sit in it for about 30 minutes per session, he said, noting the frequency of sessions can depend on what a patient is looking to alleviate or improve.

For chronic issues, he recommends sessions either weekly or bi-weekly. Other patients who may be looking for detoxing and other health benefits he recommends sessions bi-weekly or monthly.

Petruzzi recommends those who may be going through radiation or chemotherapy to treat cancer; individuals with any form of arthritis; athletes looking for a quicker recovery time; those suffering with chronic stress or fatigue, Lyme Disease or gout and high cortisol should consider utilizing the HOCATT machine.

So far, since the machine was delivered five months ago, Petruzzi said he’s had roughly 40 sessions so far. This includes someone who is going through cancer treatments, an individual who recently had a surgery and someone with neuropathy.

Currently, those interested in a session can schedule a time during Petruzzi’s normal hours at Nittany Valley Holistic. He operates Petruzzi Performance Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

However, he noted he can hold sessions on weekends by appointment.

Those who would like to try out the HOCATT machine can set up an appointment by calling Nittany Valley Holistic Health at 570-858-5645. You can also visit their website nittanyvalleyhh.com/ to learn about other services the center offers.
