Babies born during the Little League Baseball World Series are joining in on all the excitement as The Birthplace in Williamsport, a UPMC Magee-Womens facility, welcomes the newest arrivals to the world in a special way. Newborns received crocheted baseball caps, lovingly created and donated by volunteers, along with special baseball themed onesies. UPMC mascot Will greeted families and posed for photos with their newest teammates adding to the fun. "We love getting to be a part of this community tradition each year," said Katelyn Fowler, unit director, The Birthplace, UPMC Magee-Womens in Williamsport. "Welcoming new babies and supporting their families is always special, but during the Little League World Series, there's an extra layer to the fun to be able to tie in the hometown pride that makes Williamsport unique."
