WILLIAMSPORT -- Hundreds of women from across the community gathered for UPMC's annual Pretty in Pink event, an evening dedicated to connection, education and women's health.
"Women spend so much of their time caring for their families, friends and communities, and Pretty in Pink is an opportunity to encourage them to care for themselves, too," said Kari Kurtz, director, Community Relations, UPMC in North Central Pa. "By bringing together 21 community partners and UPMC services in one place, we're helping women connect with resources, ask questions, and feel more confident making decisions about their health."
The evening also featured a panel discussion with UPMC experts Sandra Lentz, CRNP; Samantha Less, PA-C; Ashley Leberfinger, M.D.; and Jenna Farquhar, M.D., who shared practical information and perspectives on women's health, empowering attendees to ask questions, better understand their health, and take an active role in their care.
