Kauffman’s Store carries a wide range of goods

LOGANTON -- Kauffman's Store in Loganton has been an icon in the Sugar Valley area for almost five decades, consistently providing patrons with fully stocked shelves of footwear, equestrian items, pet supplies, tools, outdoor gear and great customer service. They first opened in 1974 as a harness shop when Amos and Anna Kauffman moved to Sugar Valley, where their business would continue to thrive and grow over the next 50 years.

Amos passed away in 2002, but Anna and two sons, Sam and Omar, continue to run the store. Their wives and the third generation of Kauffman's, as well as some trusted employees, also help at the store.

Kauffman's offers a wide variety of items that are kept in stock or can be ordered in for customers as well. Kauffman's Store has expanded to include footwear, tools, equine and pet supplies, plumbing and hardware items, household goods and paint, all under one roof.

Trusted brand names of work shoes and boots, cowboy boots and Muck boots are well stocked in many sizes. Sneakers in a variety of sizes and colors are also offered.

DeWalt power tools are sold along with hardware, farming and gardening utensils, plumbing and painting supplies, saddles and tack, fencing and gates, pet supplies and household goods. A selection of leather goods, belts, purses and wallets, is also offered and leather repairs can be handled at the store as well.

Kauffman's usually offers a customer appreciation sale in the spring offering discounted prices on everything in the store. The store also reduces prices throughout the store during the days when the community of Loganton holds their town-wide yard sales, usually in June.
