LOGANTON — Since 2017 Scenic Ridge Foods has continued to be a staple grocery store for Loganton and beyond.
The store, located in the former Sugar Valley Elementary and High School building, stocks a wide range of products at reasonable prices.
From grocery items such as bulk foods — including baking supplies, groceries, snacks, houseware, gifts and baby items, pet supplies and much more you’re likely to check off almost every item on your grocery list with a visit to Scenic Ridge Foods.
The store also features a Bargain Corner where, according to owner Sam Lapp, you’re bound to find something new each time you visit.
“Those deals change all the time with different items stocked,” Lapp said.

Outside of your regular grocery staples, Scenic Ridge Foods also features a wide range of deli items both pre-sliced or freshly prepared.
The store includes a deli counter where you can find a variety of meats and cheeses available to purchase, along with fresh, made-to-order subs all throughout the week.
If you want a quick grab and go item, you can also check out their cooler where you’ll find pre-sliced meats, cheeses, produce, frozen items and drinks available.
The store also stocks a wide selection of vitamins and herbs for those in the market as well.
A popular item currently available are chocolate eggs, made by Noami’s Kitchen in Mill Hall.

LAURA JAMESON/THE EXPRESS Scenic Ridge Foods features a walk-in cooler and freezer with a wide variety of cold goods available.
“Those are a pretty popular item,” Lapp noted.
The eggs come in a variety of flavors and may be purchased from Scenic Ridge Foods leading up to the Easter holiday.
The store also offers a wide range of delicious baked goods. Scenic Ridge Foods bakes fresh bread on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; sweetbread and cookies on Tuesdays, whoopie pies, shoofly pie, hamburger buns and pumpkin rolls on Wednesdays and sticky buns on Thursdays.
The store can also take orders for fruit and cream pies and other baked goods. It also stocks its cooler with frozen Take N’ Bake pies and its bakery made vanilla icing.
Scenic Ridge Foods isn’t just a grocery store, it also is a community staple.

Lapp said those who stop by beginning at 9 a.m. can purchase freshly barbecued chicken along with sides such as baked beans and macaroni salad each of these days.
Lapp said he’s grateful for the community support he, his wife and the staff at Scenic Ridge Foods have seen since first moving to the area almost 10 years ago.
“We’ve been here since 2017 and it’s made possible thanks to customer support,” he said.
