The Golden Ladle winner of this year's Salvation Army Soup Off is Stella A's, whose soup, Chicken Bacon Chowder, received the most votes -- 115 -- from those attending the annual event at Haywood's on the Green in Mill Hall. The fundraiser was again a great success, bringing in close to $6,000 to help pay for Salvation Army programs that feed the needy people of this area. Second place went to Salvation Army's amateur winner Jesse McKinney for his Taco Soup, and third place winner was Haywoods, whose entry was Potato Chowder. Other restaurants participating were Dutch Haven with Ham Pot Pie and Restless Oaks with Hamburger Potato Rivel. Of course there were silent auction items again. Pictured above, from left, are Krista Hooven of Dutch Haven, Scott Neff of Stella A's, Salvation Army Major Sharon Cupp, Lori Glossner and Ryan Moats of Haywoods, Jesse McKinney of the Salvation Army, and Betsy Moore of Restless Oaks.
