MILL HALL -- Roni R. Hanley, 62, of Lamar was killed in a one-vehicle accident at 4:10 p.m. Friday on Rag Valley Road in Lamar Township, Clinton County, according to state police at Lamar.
Hanley, who was driving a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, was prounounced dead at the scene by Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna, police said.
A passenger in the jeep, Keith J. Strinfellow, 57, of Lamar, was transported to UPMC Williamsport Hospital with unknown severity of injuries, police said.
This crash occurred as Hanley was west on Rag Valley Road and failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, striking a culvert on the north shoulder with the right rear tire, police said. The jeep then struck the north embankment with the front right portion of the vehicle and overturned one time, police said.
The operator and passenger were both ejected from the vehicle as it overturned due to not wearing seat belts, police said. The jeep came to final rest on the driver's side, facing east.
