The COVID-19 numbers continue to increase in the region.
On Wednesday, Clinton County added 13 cases and Centre County added 21 cases of the deadly virus. Centre County also added a death to its tally, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Centre County now has 17,329 cases of the deadly virus, followed by Lycoming County (12,254) and Clinton County (3,837).
Pennsylvania added 2,332 positives -- the commonwealth's highest single-day increase since May 11 -- to bring the statewide total to 1,256,324.
With 25 new COVID-19 deaths, Pennsylvania's total is now 28,018.
As far as negative tests are concerned, Centre County leads the way with 74,343. Lycoming County has seen 35,240 of its residents test negative and Clinton County has had 10,079 negative tests.
Statewide, there were 8,349 new negatives for a total of 5,035,142.
Clinton County is at the highest level for community transmission of COVID-19, while Centre and Lycoming counties are in the "substantial" range, according to the Centers for Disease Control scale.
Across the state, COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to climb. Pennsylvania has 1,275 COVID-19 inpatients, an increase of 79 since Tuesday, with 332 in intensive care (up 16) and 155 on ventilators (up 16).
An estimated 95 percent of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, according to a DOH calculation.
As of Wednesday morning, the vaccination numbers look like this: In Clinton County, 1,397 are partially vaccinated and 13,799 are fully vaccinated. In Centre County, 6,127 are partially vaccinated and 79,057 are fully vaccinated. In Lycoming County, 4,640 are partially vaccinated and 46,305 are fully vaccinated.
Clinton County has 39 percent of its residents vaccinated, Centre County has 52 percent of its residents vaccinated and Lycoming County has 45 percent of its residents vaccinated.
Vaccination appointments for ages 12 and older are available through your healthcare provider or other pharmacies listed at vaccines.gov.
